EXHIBITION – CHIHARU SHIOTA @ SAINT NICHOLAS CHURCH BERLIN

With her spectacular installation « Lost words », the internationally renowned artist Chiharu Shiota transforms the interior of Berlin’s St. Nicholas’ Church into a unique associative space that generates new ways of thinking. Specifically created for the St. Nicholas’ Church, this work consists on a thick web of black threads woven into the pages of Bibles from different eras and in different translations and languages. The Japanese artist wishes to represent a symbol for the way that the Reformation and the Bible’s message have become interwoven throughout the world.

« Chiharu Shiota : Lost words » until November 19th 2017 at Nikolaikirsche (St Nicholas’ Church), Berlin
