EXHIBITION – HUMANS @ INSTITUT CULTUREL BERNARD MAGREZ, BORDEAUX

For the first time in Bordeaux, the Bernard Magrez Cultural Institute gathers eleven of the most influential contemporary Chinese artists of their generation around a common theme : the representation of the body and the individual within the evolution of the Chinese society.

From photography to painting and sculpture, more than fifty artworks of these major artists represent the body as an aesthetic object carrying sense and symbol.

Exhibited artists : Gao Bo, Liu Bolin, Gao Brothers, Zhu Fadong, Luo Fahui, Shen Jingdong, Li Wei, Ru Xiaofan, Cang Xin, Liu Yaming, Zuoxiao Zuzhou.

« Humans » until February 16th 2020 at Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez, Bordeaux

L’Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez réunit pour la première fois à Bordeaux onze des artistes contemporains chinois les plus influents de leur génération autour d’une thématique commune : la représentation du corps et de l’individu au coeur de l’évolution de la société chinoise.

De la photographie à la peinture en passant par la sculpture, plus de cinquante oeuvres de ces artistes majeurs représentent tour à tour le corps comme un objet esthétique porteur de sens et de symbole.

Sont exposés : Gao Bo, Liu Bolin, Gao Brothers, Zhu Fadong, Luo Fahui, Shen Jingdong, Li Wei, Ru Xiaofan, Cang Xin, Liu Yaming, Zuoxiao Zuzhou.
