LARA BACLIG

I’m Lara Lynn Baclig, a writer and researcher in sustainability and climate change for a London-based NGO. As an Ancient History graduate, my dissertation analysed gender constructs and the idea of eastern foreigners in Greek society through Euripides’s play Medea. Currently, I’m working on an art project reimagining a post-colonial Filipino female identity through mythology. My interest has always been rooted in the arts reflecting political, environmental, and psychological landscapes. By joining the ACA team, I’ll explore asian identity and diaspora through contemporary art, design and culture. I’m really excited by ACA’s initiative to celebrate and highlight asian art, and can’t wait to contribute pieces and experiment with different ways of telling the stories of asian contemporary artists!
