La foire d’art contemporain asiatique Asia Now a ouvert hier ses portes au public. Pour sa seconde édition, la jeune foire gagne en qualité en prenant place aux Salons Hoche et présentant de nouvelles propositions. Alors que chacune des trente-quatre galeries, venues d’Asie et d’Occident, a installé son stand au sein d’une pièce des appartements – un bel écrin valorisant les œuvres exposées et offrant une déambulation agréable – Asia Now invite a une découverte plus large de la création contemporaine asiatique à travers une série de conférences ainsi que des collaborations autour de la scène artistique sud asiatique (proposition d’Hervé Mikaeloff) et du mobilier contemporain chinois (Shang Xia et Christie’s).
Que ce soit pour retrouver les noms déjà connus ou découvrir les nouveaux talents de la création contemporaine d’Asie, Asia Now est définitivement une belle foire à prendre le temps de visiter en ce week-end de l’art contemporain à Paris.

Yesterday, the Contemporary Asian Art Fair « Asia Now » opened its doors to the public. For its second edition, the young fair gains in quality taking place at Salons Hoche and presenting new proposals. While each of the thirty-four galleries from Asia and the West has installed its stand in a room apartments – a very nice setting highlighting the artworks and offering a pleasant stroll – Asia Now invites to a further discovery of Asian contemporary art through a series of conferences, as well as collaborations about the southern Asian art scene (a proposal of Hervé Mikaeloff) and Chinese contemporary design (Shang Xia and Christie’s).
Whether to find the famous names or discover new talents of contemporary art from Asia, Asia Now is definitely a good fair to visit during this weekend of contemporary art in Paris.
