EXHIBITION – KIM MYUNG-JOO @ GALERIE VAZIEUX, PARIS

by Lou Anmella-de Montalembert

In Paris, the Galerie Vazieux exhibits sculpted heads coming from the sensitive imagination of Korea artist Kim Myung-joo. « EOLGUL – Faces » presents sculptures modeled in sandstone and coated with drippings of enamel with generosity, mastery and expressiveness. Sometimes anthropomorphic, often indistinct, these faces are above all those of the artist’s emotions. Her hands, which give shape and body to matter, convey her moods, translate her dreams and her memories, imprint her melancholy and her nostalgia for the passing of time.

« EOLGUL – Faces », solo show of Kim Myung-joo, until March 12, 2022 at Galerie Vazieux, Paris 1
