Carte Blanche à Duy Anh Nhan Duc, Musée Guimet, Paris, jusqu’au 7 février 2022
L’art et la Nature ne font qu’un entre les mains de l’artiste franco-vietnamien Duy Ahn Nhan Duc. Le pissenlit s’invite dans la Rotonde au quatrième étage du Musée Guimet à Paris. Le visiteur est appelé à vivre une expérience artistique où l’artiste met en scène le fragile végétal. Ode à la vie, véritable poésie, l’exposition se veut être un voyage initiatique où le spectateur est témoin d’un dialogue entre l’éternel et l’éphémère, deux notions opposées que le pissenlit incarne le temps d’une carte blanche.
Art and Nature are one in the hands of the French-Vietnamese artist Duy Ahn Nhan Duc. The dandelion invites itself in the Rotunda on the fourth floor of the Guimet Museum in Paris. The visitor is invited to live an artistic experience where the artist stages the fragile plant. Ode to life, true poetry, this exhibition is an initiatory journey where the viewer witnesses a dialogue between the eternal and the ephemeral, two opposite notions that the dandelion embodies the time of a carte blanche.

Nous retrouvons rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré à Paris, l’artiste et sculpteur Wang Keping. C’est au bord de l’Océan, sur les côtes de la Vendée, où il s’est installé trois ans auparavant que l’artiste emprunte un tournant nouveau dans sa création. Metamorphose est une exposition présentant huit imposantes statues de bois de chêne ou de cyprès. La métamorphose de la matière première, l’opposition et la lutte entre le geste artistique et la Nature sont au cœur de la thématique de cette exposition. Ainsi, l’imagination de Wang Keping donne corps au bois pour créer une œuvre au caractère primitif et sensuel.
We find the artist and sculptor Wang Keping on the street of the Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris. It is at the edge of the ocean, on the coast of Vendée, where he settled three years ago that the artist took a new turn in his creation. Metamorphosis is an exhibition presenting eight imposing statues of oak or cypress wood. The metamorphosis of the raw material, the opposition and the struggle between the artistic gesture and Nature are at the heart of the theme of this exhibition. Thus, Wang Keping’s imagination gives shape to wood, to create a work of primitive and sensual character.

Plongez au cœur des ténèbres à la Galerie Perrotin. L’artiste Sud-Coréen, Lee Bae y propose une réflexion sur le monochrome, l’absence de couleur. L’intensité et la profondeur du charbon, des troncs calciné et du noir de carbone (suie) vous amènerons à méditer sur le thème du cycle de la vie. Insaisissable, aléatoire le noir abite dans ses formes les plus abstraites de multiples médiums comme la peinture, la sculpture, l’installation ou encore le dessin.
Dive into the heart of darkness at Galerie Perrotin. The South Korean artist Lee Bae proposes a reflection on monochrome, on the absence of color. The intensity and depth of charcoal, charred trunks and carbon black (soot) will lead you to meditate on the theme of the cycle of life. Elusive, unpredictable, black is used in its most abstract forms in multiple mediums such as painting, sculpture, installation and drawing.
« Requiem« , Lee Ufan, Alyscamps, Arles, jusqu’au 30 septembre 2022
L’exposition Requiem de Lee Ufan semble sonner comme un hommage à la ville d’Arles et à son patrimoine romain et roman inscrit il y a 40 ans au Patrimoine Mondial de l’Unesco. C’est à la nécropole des Alyscamps, une allée bordée de cimetière donnant sur l’église Saint-Honorat que l’artiste chante les disparus. Le visiteur découvrira des installations simples, mais profondes, entrant en résonance avec un lieu où cohabitent la vie et la mort dans une recherche de l’invisible. Lee Ufan invite le visiteur à vivre une expérience, une transformation, afin de voir le monde sous un jour nouveau.
De plus, cet événement fait écho à l’inauguration de la fondation Lee Ufan dans la ville même au printemps prochain.
Lee Ufan’s Requiem exhibition seems to sound like a tribute to the city of Arles and its Roman and Romanesque heritage, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO 40 years ago. It is at the necropolis of Alyscamps, an alley lined with an antique cemetery overlooking the church of Saint-Honorat that the artist sings the deceased. The visitor will discover simple but profound installations that resonate with a place where life and death cohabit in a search for the invisible. Lee Ufan invites the public to live an experience, a transformation, in order to see the world differently
Moreover, this event echoes the inauguration of the Lee Ufan Foundation in Arles, in Spring 2022.
