“Point of Incidence”, Jitish Kallat @ Galerie Templon, Paris —  21.03 – 07.05.26

Artiste majeur de la scène indienne, Jitish Kallat (1972, Mumbai) explore avec Point of Incidence la manière dont l’humanité se projette dans l’univers et tente de l’habiter. Structurée autour d’un axe Terre–Lune, l’exposition met en tension un rapport extérieur, nourri de fantasmes et d’enjeux politiques, et une réflexion plus intime sur notre présence au monde. À travers des œuvres aux qualités organiques et sensibles, l’artiste interroge les traces laissées par l’humain sur la Terre, révélant un équilibre fragile, tout en questionnant nos ambitions et nos désirs tournés vers l’univers.

Jitish Kallat (1972, Mumbai), a leading figure on the Indian art scene, explores the ways in which humanity projects itself into the universe and attempts to inhabit it through the exhibition “Point of Incidence”. Structured around an Earth–Moon axis, the exhibition creates a tension between an external relationship fuelled by fantasies and political considerations, and a more intimate reflection on our presence in the world. Through works with organic and sensitive qualities, the artist examines the traces left by humans on Earth, revealing a fragile balance, while questioning our ambitions and desires directed toward the universe.

“RE:FORM – A glimpse of abstraction”, group show @ Galerie Franck Elbaz, Paris, 11.03 – 23.05.26

L’exposition RE:FORM, organisée par la galerie Franck Elbaz en partenariat avec la galerie Bao, explore l’abstraction comme un langage essentiel à travers les œuvres de cinq artistes vietnamiens. Elle met en lumière la manière dont cette pratique permet d’aborder des enjeux à la fois spirituels, politiques et matériels, notamment dans le contexte des réformes économiques du Đổi Mới (Renouveau), initiées à partir de 1986 au Vietnam. Dans ce cadre, l’abstraction apparaît à la fois comme un espace de liberté et comme le lieu d’expression d’inquiétudes face aux transformations d’une société post-socialiste, confrontée à la modernisation et aux influences occidentales. Elle constitue également une forme de reconquête de la parole artistique, en particulier pour certains artistes du Sud du Vietnam, dont la pratique avait été interrompue après 1975, à la fin de la guerre. L’exposition entend ainsi souligner la dimension profondément contemporaine de l’abstraction, indissociable des mutations actuelles du Vietnam.

Organised by the Franck Elbaz Gallery in partnership with the Bao Gallery, the « RE:FORM » exhibition explores abstraction as a fundamental language through the work of five Vietnamese artists. It showcases how this artistic approach enables the exploration of spiritual, political and material issues, particularly in the context of the economic reforms initiated in 1986 in Vietnam, known as Đổi Mới (Renewal). In this context, abstraction emerges as both a space of freedom and a means of expressing concerns about the transformation of a post-socialist society grappling with modernisation and Western influences. It also constitutes a way for certain artists from southern Vietnam to reclaim their artistic voice, as their practice was interrupted after 1975, at the end of the war. The exhibition thus aims to highlight the profoundly contemporary nature of abstraction and its inextricable link to the current transformations in Vietnam.

“Jardin des neuf soleils”, Trevor Yeung @ CAPC, Bordeaux, 24.03 – 20.09.26

À l’occasion de sa première exposition muséale en Europe, Trevor Yeung (1988, Hong Kong) investit la nef d’un ancien entrepôt de denrées coloniales à Bordeaux. Il invite les visiteurs à redécouvrir cet espace sous un angle inédit et à prendre part au processus créatif en nouant des rubans colorés à un pont en échafaudage. Reconnu pour son travail autour de la lumière et des enjeux écologiques, Trevor Yeung donne ici forme aux phénomènes naturels et aux désirs humains à travers une installation immersive et participative. Par la présentation de photographies, ainsi que de sphères et de sculptures de champignons lumineux, il compose un environnement poétique où matière et vivant se rencontrent.

For his first museum exhibition in Europe, Trevor Yeung (1988, Hong Kong) has transformed the main hall of a former colonial goods warehouse in Bordeaux. He invites visitors to rediscover the space with fresh eyes and participate in the creative process by tying coloured ribbons to a scaffolding bridge. Known for his work exploring light and ecological issues, Trevor Yeung gives form here to natural phenomena and human desires through an immersive, participatory installation. Using photography, as well as spheres and sculptures of luminous mushrooms, he creates a poetic environment where physical matter and life intersect.
